интересно е че Брайън Лоупс пише в книгата си:
"Bar and Stem Product managers spec bars and stems to match the intended use of the bike and the likely size of the rider. This is a fine starting point, but you might want to custom-ize to suit your riding style. If climbing is your thing, run a long, low stem—say, 90 to 120 millimeters with 0 to 10 degrees of rise. This creates a powerful pedaling position, and it weights the front end for climbing. Run a flat or 1-inch (2.5 cm) rise bar to keep you nice and stretched out. I fyou’re more concerned with descend-ing, jumping, and other tomfoolery than ultimate climbing domination, run a 40-to 70-millimeter stem. This makes it easier to move back for steep terrain, and it gives you a bigger cockpit for controlling your bike. Use a stem with 10 to 15 degrees of rise, a bar with 1.5 to 2.5 inches (3.8 to 6.4 cm) of rise, or both.
When it comes to your bar and stem, long and low works, and short and high works.
But long and high feels like you’re reaching for help, and short and low feels like you’re digging for worms. Not cool. Riders prefer different bar widths, depending on their size and the tightness of their forests. Do what feels right, but make sure all of your bikes are the same."
