Hi,
My name is Wendy and i live in Bansko, Bulgaria. I am english and have been living here for nearly 3years now. I live with my fiance Steve and our 2year old daughter Jessica who was born in Sofia.

i just wanted to introduce myslef to the site and to the people who use the forum. I have noticed the large number of registered users on here and it is staggering. One of the biggest forums in the UK moredirt.co.uk has around 35,000 members.

We love mountain biking in and around Bansko. Here is mainly XC. We recently started to enjoy DH as we visited Borovets bike park many times last season. We love it here in Bulgaria and would like to share our passion about the place with our UK riders and hope to have visitors and tourists out during the summer to test Bulgaria.

Hi Emo,

Thank you, I am hoping to enter the Borovets DH Open Cup in June and we are visiting the Shambhala Open Cup this year. We have forum owners and riders coming out this year for the event and to help promote Bulgaria as an MTB Haven. We love it here and the more of the MTB scene we are seeing the better it gets.

Firstable, I'm glad to hear you like Bulgaria. Lovely nature and traditions. Many foreigners say that they like our country because of that.
You have chosen a great place to live in. I'm talking about Bansko!
So glad to see you are a fan of mountain biking. You have no idea what opportunity to become a good DH-er you have. Great spot to train and improve your riding skills.

Heeeelllooooooooo, Wendy! Glad to hear English people find it lovely to live here in Bulgaria - we bulgarians usually don't, mainly because of the stupid decisions of our government. The nature is really beautiful and there are lots of dirt roads and trails to explore, not only in Borovetz and Sopot. Hoping to share some MTB moments with you, guys, some time in the future!

Thankyou for your kind comments. Yes we love it here the nature, family orientated lifestyle and friendliness we have been shown by everyone we have met.

We are off to Sopot tomorrow for a small holiday and to ride the trails. I hear the lift is still not working but we do have a friend there who has arranged a 4x4 to take us up. So looking forward to it......... if anyone is over there be nice to meet you.
