Mandatory Equipment
All competing athletes have the obligation to wear necessary protective equipment such as : Helmet – Gloves – Knee pads. Contestants must wear their helmet throughout the whole race , including the liason stages. A full face helmet is suggested for Special stages. No use of protective gear may lead to disqualification from the whole race, as well as getting banned from the Enduro Mediterraneo. Those who do not take part in the prologue stage are entitled to race with the sole difference that they will start last. Registration & sensors will be given strictly on Saturday
Local Rules
Special Stages will be fully taped and marked by 9:00am on Saturday the 28th of June, and will be available for riding and training. Other transportation means are allowed as an uplift ONLY for Saturday to approach the race start, although we will provide vehicles for uplift. On Sunday uplift with your vehicles is NOT ALLOWED. Penalties of 2 minutes will be enforced for breaking any of the above rules
Special Stages.
Total competition length is up to 29km with total elevation gain/loss of 1500m. The first stage will be partially uplift aided by our vehicles due to high altitude. The rest of the Stages will be made strictly by pedal. Total competing Special Stages will be 6,62 km. The map of the race will be provided online 2 weeks prior the race. Do not forget that the trails are downhill oriented and you must be careful at any time, altough there has been a general redesign to accept even hardtail bikes. You must wear your helmets at any time of the race, because not wearing one may lead to your disqualification from the race.
Special Stage 1 (PS1)(Downhill):
Max elevation 1117m. – min elevation 921m.
Ascent: 15m. – Descent: 210m.
Grade: -8,1%
Distance: 1,7km
Special Stage 2 (PS2) (Xirovouni):
Max elevation 1040m. – min elevation 949m.
Ascent: 25m. – Descent: 117m.
Distance: 1,46km
Special Stage 3 (PS3) (S2):
Max elevation 922m. – min elevation 703m.
Ascent: 0m. – Descent: 250m.
Distance: 1,66km
Special Stage 4 (PS4) (Big Bear):
Max elevation 960m. – min elevation 780m.
Ascent: 61m. – Descent: 232m.
Distance: 1,74km
CATEGORIES
Juniors – 15 to 18. Based upon riders age at the 31st of December of the race year. (The guardian or parent must sign a special participation form )
Men – All male category times will be placed together in scratch format.
Women – All female category times will be placed together in scratch format.
Hardtail – All athletes racing with a hardtail bike
Transportation by bus for the Enduro Mediterraneo races
There will be a bus from Thessaloniki for the transportation of the athletes for their cheaper attendance. The minimum number will be 36 people in order for the transportation to happen.
A 10 euro deposit is needed for the reservation which will not be refunded in case of cancellation on your behalf, while the trip is scheduled and completed successfully. If it is cancelled due to lack of participants then the deposit will be refunded at the race registration. All details will be mailed to your email upon registration.
The bus will depart from Thessaloniki on Friday at 16:00 from the main Bus Station and will be returning on Sunday after the race. The transportation includes the whole transport of your whole bike & equipment with a bus with a bike treiler, plus transportation to and from your hotel towards the race start for those staying at hotel far from the race start. Just to inform you that the race start is situated right in the middle of Steni village and most hotel that will be announced are in near cycling distance. You can register in the form below.
